A Little About Mrs. Travis
I've been teaching and working in the Joplin School District since 2005 where I've taught World Geography, American History, and World History. I also am an assistant volleyball coach and the Prom sponsor. I wish I could have lived during the golden age of Hollywood as I am a huge fan of classic movies such as "The Wizard of Oz" and the TV show "I Love Lucy." I love the Social Sciences because there are so many interesting things to read and learn about! I love trying to find new ways to reach out and teach history. Most students cringe at the thought of lecture and a textbook so my goal is to go outside the box and let kids understand the past with modern day twists.
